Mr. Cheman Shaik, an Indian expatriate working as IT Consultant
in Riyadh, has been presented Appreciation Award on Oct 13 by Mr. Rajeev
Shahare, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India in Riyadh,
on behalf of BISWAS, an Indian Welfare Society, for his invention of Advanced Encryption
Algorithm and achieving US Patent for the same.
Mr. Rajeev Shahare, who was invited as the chief guest
at the BISWAS (Bhartiye International Society for Welfare & Solidarity) Iftar and
Felicitation function, has applauded Mr. Cheman for his remarkable invention and
portrayed him as a true representative of the younger generation of India. “Mr.
Cheman has opened the roadmap to India’s innovative future in Information and Communication
Technologies and he will be the inspiration for young IT professionals of India”,
said the Indian Embassy official in his felicitation speech.
The new Public Key Encryption Algorithm will protect internet buyers’ Credit Card
details, and identity credentials such as passwords, social security numbers from
hackers and eavesdroppers supported by internal trust breachers of e-commerce merchants.
According to an FBI report, business enterprises in U.S alone incur a yearly loss
of more than US$ 50 billion due to data breach and identity theft. In light of the
above fact, Cheman’s invention will be seen as a landmark in cryptography and information
security, fortifying enterprise businesses against identity thieves and hackers.
